Can our eyes and ears be laid astray? When we believe our eyes and ears and discard facts we maybe on the road to being deceived.
Some of our schools are no longer teaching critical thinking. Most of them have been taken over by liberal personnel. And what they want to do is indoctrinate all the children into their worldview. The kids and young adults that attend those schools are very impressionable. We send them there to be taught. (And quite often, parents are not allowed to know what is being taught in the classrooms.)
For the most part parents trust the school system to teach their children. If what the children see or hear line up with what they’ve been indoctrinated with, then they look no further to find other evidence that may contradict what their “eyes and their ears” are telling them in their class rooms.
Schools have historically taught their students how to think. To attack a problem with facts and to keep searching for facts until they come to the end of an argument, that is part of critical thinking. But that doesn’t seem to be the case any longer.
The truth is out there. You only have to search for it to find it. Why not, in an age appropriate way, teach all sides of a specific narrative? Why not tell them the differing ways to look at an issue that is before them? With critical thinking they would be able to figure out issues on their own, to find out what narrative is correct. It just seems like this is not what some educators want. They want these childern to accept what they say to be true and not look any further.
The Bible makes it very clear that we are living in the last days. It tells us what to look for to show that we are in the final hours of the end days. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 is a prophecy, that give a clear understanding of what people will be like in the last days. It looks very much like the people that are living right now.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV) (Please read the whole chapter)
1.This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
I fully understand that people have been like this for millenniums, but it is worse now, then it has ever been.
Timothy said these things would happen in the “last days”, and our society seems to be full of people that exhibit these traits. It has to start somewhere and a close look at our schools show that they are full of these characteristics.Schools can’t take all the blame, but that is my focus at this moment.
The schools of Western Society are teaching young children and teenagers things that Christians don’t want their children to be taught at school. The parents will teach them at home the things to avoid or to embrace, it’s the parents prerogative, not the schools.
The book of Isaiah says “woe” to the people that call good evil and evil good…
Isiah 5:20 (KJV) (Please read the whole chapter)
Woe unto those who call evil, good, and good, evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
( The context of this verse is speaking about Israel, but it shows God’s righteous character in how He judges.)
Some children reject what they were taught by their parents and start following the “charisma” of their favorite teacher. One must remember that “student” is only part time. That child is “full-time” for the parent and will always be their parent. When they go to school in a classroom, they are a “student” to the teacher, but when they come home, they are the “parents child”.
When I go to a school function, and a teacher stands up and says “your students”, that goes all through me. They are not our students. They are our children and you, as a teacher have an obligation to teach them reading, writing and arithmetic. That is what we have entrusted the teachers to do. Teachers have no business telling them other trash that their parents might not believe in.
Of course, I understand that there are thousands of good teachers out there and I have a great respect for you. You have a very hard job and I am thankful that you are there. However, there are some teachers that have an agenda. With the help of the school system, they want to take the hearts and minds from the children’s allegiance to their parents, and turn it to the state.
The book of Daniel in chapter 12 has a very interesting statement that also shows we are in the last days. It reads this way.
Daniel 12:1-4 (KJV) (Please read the whole chapter)
1. And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Daniel was told in the “end times” his words would be opened up for his people to understand. He also said that “knowledge shall be increased” and that’s what we want to look at right now.
With the advent of the computer, knowledge has increased exponentially, just like Daniel chapter 12 verse four says. Computers by themselves are neither good or evil. They are benign. It’s how they’re used by the person, as to rather or not that person has good intentions or evil intentions.
The computer has also brought us AI, and AI is a very worrisome production of the human mind. It seems as though AI one day will be able to think for itself or already is doing so. This brings to mind many of the scenarios of the book of Revelation. It makes it a lot easier to see how AI can actually be used to bring about some of the things written there.
People can now produce pictures that are not real, one look on the Internet and you can find this all over the place. So what you “see or hear” on the Internet may not be real, it may be AI generated. If so, it can and will deceive your eyes and your ears into believing something that is not true.
This is why it is important for critical thinking. So that a person can look at other information to see if what they are seeing and hearing is true or false. Sad to say, so many things that people believe today, they only believe it because of their eyes and their ears.
Please wake up and explore all points of an issue so that you will know the truth. Jesus said “knowledge of the truth” will set you free.
John 8:32(KJV) (Please read the whole chapter)
32. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Please remember that most of the time there’s more sides to an issue then you are aware of and keep searching. Because Jesus is right, knowledge of the truth, will set you free. Please turn your life over to Jesus, so that you can truly be set free.
